From the National Association of the Remodeling Industry Press Release:
Orfield Remodeling, Inc. won two COTY (Contractor of the Year) awards.
In the category of “entire house over $250,000,” the firm
was recognized for its dramatic update of a 1980’s Burnsville
home, which included the orientation of the house to the lake, complete
remodel of home – top to bottom – and the addition of
outdoor rooms to take advantage of a spectacular lake setting.
In the category of “residential kitchen $50,000 and under,”
the firm produced beauty, function and space in what the Minneapolis
homeowner had called “the world’s smallest kitchen.”
Orfield Remodeling stayed within the homeowner’s budget, while
creating an upscale, traditional look, with Cambria countertops, ceramic
floors, stainless appliances and low-voltage halogen lighting.
“We are very pleased to receive two awards for our remodeling
work,” said Rachael Marggraf, Sales and Marketing Director for
Orfield Remodeling, Inc., which is located at 3507 W. 50th Street
in Minneapolis. “The two projects were very different from each
other. But we exceeded the homeowner’s goals at each home, and
that is the most gratifying aspect of what we do.”

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry
(NARI) named Orfield Remodeling, Inc, in Minneapolis, 2005 National
Contractor of the Year (CotY) in the Commercial Exterior category
of its annual awards competition.
Contractors from seven regions around the country vie for CotY
Awards on an annual basis, and all regional winners were eligible
for National CotY Awards at NARI's Evening of Excellence on April
2 in Chicago. All projects submitted for judging were an improvement
or an addition to an existing structure.
An impartial panel of judges who are experts within the industry
and associated fields, selected winners based on each entrant's
"before and after" photography and project description.
Judging was based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics,
craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation.
To be considered for a CotY Award, a company must be a NARI member
in good standing. NARI members represent an elite group from the
approximately 800,000 companies and individuals in the U.S. identifying
themselves as remodelers. NARI is a professional association whose
members voluntarily subscribe to a strict code of ethics. |
